I used the All-Star break to make a significant change to the Batter DNA/Pitcher DNA system. We now have three ball-in-play categories:

Soft balls in play are almost always outs.

Medium balls in play are sometimes hits, sometimes outs.

Hard balls in play are almost always hits, and usually extra bases.

I’ve updated all of the explainer pages to reflect this change. This should help with even more accurate projections and more helpful interpretations.
